service product unable to assign service org to product master

hi

i created a service org but in product master i unable assign to product it is not avail there

we r not manitain any division ,distribution channels to service org.

Hi Bindhu,

The service org is an org unit which is responsible to perform services and is a org wherein we cant assign products but only people. This service org is used to perform the labour work and not sell products. In order to sell products thru this org you need to extend it to be a sales org. To assign a product to this org you need to extend it to be a sales org and assign the division or distribution channel as Service based on the scenario.

Then only you will be able to use this Service Org for product assignment.

Hi Bindhu,

When you create a service as a product in CRM, you get the Sales Area tab where you can enter the org through which you are selling this service. For a service org to sell this service product you need to extend this service org as a sales org too.

Hi,

if you want to assign sales area less distribution channel division , you must upload the sales area from R/3 or ECC.

SAPIMG-->CRM >master data> Data transafer-->SAP ECC Sales Structure

When reading the R/3 sales structure, the system also tries to automatically determine the dummy division, if you are not using a header division in CRM Enterprise. The following criteria are taken into account:

Plz check the performance assitance for details ..

If you are on a stand alone CRM then check for maintainance of the org determination tick in PPOMA_CRM

Have u maintained organization for determination permitted.

Then update the Org Buffer.
