SAP ROUTER problem

Hi all,

We have a problem in getting connected to the ERP PRD server and also the BIW DEV and BIW PRD servers, reason is that the sap router that is installed on the ERP DEV server is not working fine...

Recently we had a problem with the SAPDEV_00 service and due to which our SAP MMC was not showing the instance, so we did a HOMOGENEOUS SYSTEM COPY and we set the DEV right and it is working fine, since then we have problems connecting to PRD and BW servers..

When we checked the saprouttab file this is how it was looking, i am sure the entries for the PRD and BW servers is missing here..

The SAPROUTTAB file:

<b># SNC-connection from and to SAP

KT "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" 194.39.131.34 *

  1. SNC-connection from SAP to local R/3-System for Support

KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" 192.168.0.45 3299

  1. SNC-connection from SAP to local R/3-System for NetMeeting

#KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" <R/3-Server> 1503

  1. SNC-connection from SAP to local R/3-System for saptelnet

#KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" <R/3-Server> 23

  1. Access from the local Network to SAPNet - R/3 Frontend (OSS)

P * 194.39.131.34 *

P * * *

  1. deny all other connections</b>

The prd server details are

<b>SID: PRD

Sys NO: 00

Ip address: 192.168.0.148</b>

The BIW DEV server details are:<b>

SID: BI1

Sys no:00

Ip Adress : 192.168.0.149</b>

Now can anyone help me how to make necessary changes to that file and how to restart the sap router and get it working

We are on

SAP ECC 6.0, MS SQL 2005, Win 2003 server, release 700

Hope i am clear with all the details.

Waiting to hear from u

Thanks and regards

Hi,

  1. SNC-connection from SAP to local R/3-System for Support

KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" <R/3-Server>

32<Instance>

  1. SNC-connection from SAP to local R/3-System for SAPtelnet

KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" <R/3-Server> 23

  1. SNC-connection from SAP to local R/3-System for windows terminal server.

KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" <R/3-Server> 3389

You have to add the entries based on the required connections to that system from the router.

I have given 3 examples for the GUI Connection, Telnet connection, windows terminal server connection.

For each type of connection you should have a individual entry.

After changing as per your requirement , restart the router.

Start SAPROUTER.

saprouter -r -V 2 -K "p:<Distinguished Name>"

Whenever saprouttab file is changed Please run the following command

saprouter -n -V 2 -K "p:<Distinguished Name>"

You can get the distinguished name of the router from the SMP

Award points if helpful.

Hi,

First make it clear that your other systems(which are in the route tabfile) are able to connet to SAP or not? if it's yes add the PRD and required system ip's in the routtab file.

If none of the sys. is connecting to SAP, you may need to install the SAProuter again.

Regards,

Hari.

Hi,

You can try to recertify the SAProuter certificate using the steps in the below link which are very clear:

http://service.sap.com/saprouter-sncadd

Make sure that your network is allowing TCP/IP and ICMP packets to the relevant ports from SAP.

Thanks
