BCS SAP standard Chart of Accounts (CoA) naming / numbering convention

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me the SAP standard naming convention for accounts ni the Charts of Accounts?

Or please email me chart 1C - info@ajconwayconsulting.com

I'm on the consolidation blueprint phase and have been asked to present a numbering convention to match the SAP standard. I haven't got the system yet so can't access chart 1C - can anyone confirm the numbering convention (or email me the chart 1C?)

My guess is below, please confirm:

Income 100000

Expenses 200000

Assets 300000

Liabilities 400000

Capital 500000

Statistical 800000

Didn't work with EC-CS. In SEM-BCS the standard CoA conventions are:

Assets (B/S) - 1x

Liabilities and Equity (B/S) - 2x

Income statement - 3x

Statistical - 9x

Actually, it's not an SAP standard. It's a convention used in SAP training/demo systems.

As you know, IAS/IFRS standards don't confine you with any standards reg CoA. Use what is convenient for you.

Thanks Eugene - I understand that different requirements will lead to different numbering but I just wanted exactly what you posted. This is eactly the type of confirmation that I was after.

Hi, Isn't 1C the standard chart delivered in EC-CS and BCS for use?

Unfortunately I can't get on to a system today to have a look at it and I've never used it before.

Anyway, any opinion on the SAP standard?
