remote compare function group

Hi guys,

Does anybody here knows how to compare a function group in two systems? Using SE39 I can compare the main program ang all its includes one by one. But is there a tool that I can use where I will just input the function group name and it will compare the whole group (including all the relevant includes under it) one time?

Thanks in advance.

hi

Before doing the remote comparison in SE39, you have to create an RFC destination connecting to the other system in SM59

thanks,

reward points if helpful....

Hello Hymavathi,

But SE39 doesn't compare the include programs included in the function group. It will just compare the SAPL* program, but not the includes.

Hi,

You can try the following

1. Go to SE80 open the FG

2. Open a FM under it go to the tab GO TO and open the main program

3. go to UTILITES>VERSIONS>VERSION MANAGEMENT

4. Click on remote comparison select the system you want to compare with.

Himanshu

1) Open T-Code : SREPO

2) Provide the following inputs to compare Function group object in two different systems :

i) RFC Dest. = The Target system you want to compare.

ii) Under scope of comparison, select radio button Freely Selected Objects and give object details you want to compare and click on Create Object intersection.
To compare Function group, give these values :
Pgm. ID = R3TR

Ty. = FUGR

Object name = Function Group Name
