XI to PI Migration

Hi All:

what are the procedure and plan to upgrade existing XI 3.0 to new version that is PI 7.0?? I am referring to this link but have confusion about clone and all.

Can anyone tell me articulately how we can achieve it (XI to PI migration) in a simple and efficient way:-)
