Hello
Account groups predominantly are created for GL accounts / Customers / Vendors.
For GL accounts, the account groups can be Material accounts, revenue accounts, expense accounts, asset accounts, cash and bank accounts and so on.
For customers, it can be sold to party, export customers, local customers, one time customers and so on.
For vendors, it can be local, export, one time and so on.
Each account group has a unique number range, screen layout and characterstics.
This configuration is very important as the balances represent the desired layout in FSV.
