How often do we have to create a separate Org model in CRM and what are the ramifications in doing so when ECC is the backend. What are the things to consider when we have to choose between

1. Download org model from ECC

2. Create similar org model that is present in ECC (and add service org units)

3. Create new org model using full fledged advantages of CRM org model capabilities.

Hi King,

you can transfer sales org from ECC to CRM using a customizing node 'Copy org structure from ECC to CRM" in the spro setting under master data-> organization management->dataexchange

No header data in CRM means you will not be able to maintain orgs at header level in CRM

Hi King,

You have to create an Org model when you want to do Organizational data determination for CRM Scenarios like Sales, Marketing, Service.

If you have to do OrgDetermination Prerequisite is Master Data and Trasactional data integration between CRM and the back end system.

Positions will be assigned to the Organizational units.

Every Organization will have attributes as Dist channel Division and Currency.

A sales Organization will have a)Sales Call center b)Direct sales as an Org unit

and the Org units will be assigned Positions.

Service Organization will have some thing like 1)Service Back office

2)Service Technecial group 3)Service Call center as OrgUnits and Attributes and positions are assigned to them.

For a Service Call center Various postitions can be assigned like

1)Service Manager.

2)IC Service Agent.

3)IC HelpDesk Agent etc.

You have to transfer the Sales areas from ECC to CRM if you have to create the Masterdata(BP,Products,Conditions) in the CRM system.

Check the Sales Areas in the ERP side.

Note: If you are not using a HEADER in the CRM then you should maintain a DUMMY division the ECC.

Set up Business Parther Integration with the Org Management coz you have to create BP's for Organizations and for using them in the Transactions and Create Number Ranges and Grouping also.

Once the Org Units are defined Positions are assigned to them and Users are assigned to the Positons.

Create Users using SU01 and create Employees for Interactioncenter in the Identification tab Assign the users that you have created.

When creating Orders you have to maintain Billing so Sales Organization is used for Billing Uint.

Create a BP as Organization in the Role of Billing Unit and assign it to Sales Organization wich is Used in the CRM ONLINE transactions and are posted as Billing document in the R/3 Financial Accounting.

Assign a Company code to Billing Unit.

If you are using Service You have to assign Business Areas to detertermine the Service Organization Responsible.

Reward with points.

Hi Murali, your reply did not answer my question. My question is about scenarios when we have to consider between 1. Creating a new Org maodel 2. Copy existing one from ECC 3. Build a similar Org model as present in ECC.

Neve the less thanks for your reply.

1. How do we transfer sales area data from ECC to CRM? Is it automatic?

2. What do you mean by no HEADER in CRM?
