Hi guys

as per the documentation or what I have understood is that ABAP is used to transfer data from SAP Application tables to different targets...

Can we use to create ABAP dataflow to copy data from 1 relational database table to another as we use in normal dataflow.

regards

ABAP is used for a lot of Things and of course you can copy data from one table to another one but this should be done only by experienced developers. Moving data between SAP-Standard-Tables on DB-Level should only be done by Migration experts.

hi

thanks for you reply.. I have normal dataflow which is getting used to copy data from source to target(SQL Server 2012) with 40+ million

records... and it takes 4 hrs to finish... so thinking to try ABAP dataflow.. download is simple select column names from table.

I tried creating ABAP dataflow... when I am creating same inside dataflow workspace, then it is showing only datastore which has database type as SAP Application, when I have datastore created with database type as ODBC, it is not showing in drop down while creating ABAP dataflow..

Will that help.. if yes could you please guide me how to start same..

regards
