Item category....Pls help!

Hi experts,

Here's the scenario, First, I'm creating a quotation no. then i will create a sales order with reference to quotation no.In doing so, I'm using a BAPI....Now the question is..how can i determine the item category? From what table should i be looking for? At first, when you create a quotation no..it has an item category..lets say ZGAM. But if im going to create a sales order, the item category is changing to something like ZREM.My only problem here is that, where should i get this ZREM value? what table?

oh man...

TVPT is the table for sales document item categories.

I believe your correct but it's not what i'm looking for...This item category is based to Material...
