vendor hierarchy

Hi all,

i created vendor hierarchy and assigned it to partner function for purchase order. <b>Then how it is further useful.?</b> I mean to ask in hierarchy if i created parent vendor as order reciever and child vendor as goods supplier, then will child vendor be automaticlly populated while doing MIGO ? as system is not doing it right now , or further config setting is require for that

Vendor hierarchies are used during purchase order processing and billing for determining pricing, including rebates. Vendor hierarchies may be useful for your organization if you trade with vendors who have complex, external structures that you need to take into account for pricing. For example, you trade with major retail chains or large concerns that are organized in hierarchies with numerous levels.

thanx for ur reply . i read it already but my question is that how it is useful in the system, b'coz my requirement is that i want system should automaticlly populate vendor hierarchy while doing PO or MIGO so that i can choose goods supplier or any other child vendor
