com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION:

Hi All

I am trying dynmically connect to sap r/3 backend through JCO.

i have created a WD Model at design time giveing the detail of r/3 system and the JCOs.during run time i am changing the connection parameters to connect to adifferent r/3 which has the same BAPI as in the previous r/3 and trying to retrieve data from the second.

While connecting i am getting the following error

com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect to SAP gateway failed Connect_PM TYPE=A ASHOST=<HOSTIP> SYSNR=10 GWHOST=<HOSTIP>GWSERV=sapgw10 PCS=1 LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode ERROR service 'sapgw10' unknown TIME Thu Sep 20 17:24:15 2007 RELEASE 640 COMPONENT NI (network interface) VERSION 37 RC -3 MODULE ninti.c LINE 505 DETAIL NiPGetServByName2: service 'sapgw10' not found SYSTEM CALL getservbyname_r COUNTER 2

Please suggest any solution.

    Hi There ,

    Make sure you have the Entry for sapgw10 service in

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\Services File.
