Dispatcher not starting

Hey guys, when we try to start this BI7 instance we get the following error in the "Developer trace" & the Dispatcher isn't starting.... pls help...

MBUF state OFF

Can you check is Database accessible ?

Please check the Database services , should be up and running .

Have you update the Kernel of the system ?

Have you check the SAP Note 907856 - Error WSAEACCES when binding a port in NiIBindSocket ?

Hi Christrosher,

May be that you could try to do a comeplete shutdown and reboot of the System and then do a proper startup of SAP appplication.

You will have to Stop the SAP Application and then the database.

Next, You can stop the SAP Services then after that the Dtabase (Oracle) services.

After this you can reboot the System (OS level)!

After the system has come up. You can start the Oracle Services first next try to make the Oracle listerner & instance startup.

After this you can do a SAP to Database Check using the following command:

R3trans -d and R3trans -w !

For details on R3trans utility u can refer http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/60/e560c8591b11d2b413006094b9ea64/frameset.htm

If the outcome for SAP to Database connection is o.k , then you can Startup the SAP application NOW.

Please maintain the sequence of startup and shutdown that I have mentioned ....

Yes.... we use the sid adm user to start the server
