Installing R3 3.1H - error ORA-01438

Hi All

I am currently trying to install 3.1H at customer site, reason for this is that they are still on 3.1H and need to change their hardware as soon as possible this also implies OS which will now be Win2000, so I am trying to install on a temporary server 3.1H with the aim to then upgrade the database and SAP system to 3.1I and Oracle 8.1.6/8.1.7

Currently I need to keep the database on 7.3.4 to be able to do a database copy from their old production server to the temporary one to be able to then do database and kernel updates to 8.1.6 and 3.1I to work on new hardware and Windows2000.

Question is notes that I found says this error will go away if I patch oracle to level 7.3.4.5.1, I think this should not effect the data to the point that I would not be able to copy it, but where can I find this patch as SAP does not have it available for download anymore?

Any other solutions also welcome.

hi,

the old patches have not been transfered to SAP Service Marketplace but they can be found on the "original" location.

Only question now, I tried to ftp to this server but could not, any special requirements to use this server?

1. you must use this through saprouter

2.. depending on your location, it might be sapserv4 (USA) or sapserv1 or 2.

this client have no SAPRouter, they are running SAP 3.1H and no router nothing, this is possible the worse job I have ever been sent to do, but thank you for help, I will go use saprouter at office to download and bring it back to the client.
