Hello Christian,

if I understood your question correctly, you would like to visualize live SensorTag data on your mobile device without internet connectivity. To do that, use the SensorTag app (available for iOS and Android). All the links you may find on the TI SensorTag kits web page.

If you would like to send SensorTag data into the Cloud and consume it later on from there, then the internet connectivity is required. The "Try out SAP Cloud Platform Internet of Things with SensorTag" blog post [1] will give you more information on how to do that.

Regards,

Anton

Hi Anton, I have completed this tutorial, it works perfectly... but when there isnt connection with the cloud, it would be possible to keep monitoring the data in the IPad from devices, using HCP, and when internet connection is reestablished, the data would continue the transmisssion, like a UDP protocol?

Are you aware of https://www.sap.com/developer/tutorials/iot-part13-hcp-services-viewdataui5.html ?

I am trying to use iot started kitto display data… but in STEP 8 my devices are not listed, thoughts?

Hello Christian,

it depends on the client application (on the edge/device side). If your client is able to keep the data when there is no internet connectivity and continue posting it into the Cloud once connectivity is back, then yes.

Regarding, your follow-up question. As I already commented in here [1], it is not recommended to hijack the questions. The current thread, in my opinion, is closed.

Anyways. Without knowing more information apart from "in step 8 my devices are not listed", it is hard to guess what might be wrong. I would recommend to start a new thread and provide more details (screenshots of your setup, log files, browser console output etc).

Also, do not forget to close the current thread by accepting the answer if you believe it is closed. See #8 in the Rules of Engagements [2]
