Hi All,

Is it possible to enable tracing at ODBC level for SAP HANA connection from Informatica PowerCenter?

Regards,

JR

In case you wanted to trace the ODBC connection from Informatica PowerCenter to HANA with PowerCenter as a HANA client, then the federation trace is not going to help you.

For this scenario, you can use the ODBC tracing, documented here: https://help.sap.com/viewer/0eec0d68141541d1b07893a39944924e/2.0.02/en-US/35368f78f6884b019caee12c125b255a.html

Basically you use the hdbodbc_cons tool to set up the tracing (be sure to use the same OS level user that runs the PowerCenter binaries).

Try turning on the federation tracing.

1: Turn on the tracing with this command.

alter system alter configuration ('indexserver.ini','SYSTEM')

SET('trace','fedodbctrace')='debug',('trace','fedtrace')='debug',('trace','federationexecution')='debug' with reconfigure;

2: Reproduce the issue

3. Turn off tracing

alter system alter

configuration ('indexserver.ini','SYSTEM') UNSET

('trace','fedodbctrace'),('trace','fedtrace'),('trace','federationexecution') with reconfigure;
