New GL- Profot Center Document not generated

Dear Experts,

I am using new GL for profit centre accounting and have not

maintained any Dummy profit center and also have not done setting for

Transaction code 1KEF.

While doing postings we are getting Accounting as well as controlling

documents but <b>no profit centre documents are being generated</b>.

please let me know the possible area where we need to do the

customisation.

Is it necessary to generate profit centre documents while using new GL

for profit centre?

Please note that main requirement of my client is to get Trial

Balance and financial statements (Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss A/C)

at profit centre level.

Hi

You have to do the setting in 1KEF to tranfser the values to PC. Even if you use new gl, it is ncessary to generate profit center documents. Then only you will get the Profit Center wise TB, Financial Statements.

Hi,

I have not created the Dummy Profit center as the client is not willing to have a Dummy Profit centre (also suggested by SAP note no 826357).However while doing configuration setings in T code 1KEF the system is throwing the following error.

Message no:KM410 that Controlling area is incomplete.

The system is expecting Dummy profit Centre here while doing configuration for T code 1KEF, which is not created there.

Is it necessary to get Profit Centre Documents created to get Finalcial Statements at Profit centre level? Cannot it be taken from FI directly without generating Profit Centre Document?
