Hi,

Is the BI content delivered with BI 7 reflects the new dataflow.?

How delta is working in the new BI 7 ?

How to do LO extraction in BI 7 ? is it sismilar to what we do in BW 3.5 ?

LO extraction is R/3 driven and there are no current known issues regarding LO Cockpit. Only one point needs to be noted here. If you want to use the new functions that are delivered with PI_Basis2005.1, such as real-time data acquisition, remote master data access, and data reconciliation, you must upgrade to PI_Basis2005.1 on the R/3 side.

Its all the same excepting the flow of data wud be diff on BI side.

thanks. if it is the same , how we go about doing the delta on the BI side.

I know about teh delta in BW 3.5....

Should delta option be enabled in the psa load infopackage and DTP ?

You will have a Full Infopackage , Init & Delta or u can use one change the settings.

DTP wud pick all the Deltas from PSA.

DTP doesn't require any Init -- u can directly use a Delta DTP instead of a full as Delta DTP = Full DTP <b>for the first time</b>.

Or use a Full DTP for a full infopackage load n change it to Delta DTP n it will only pick new requests from the PSA which dont exist in the cube.

Example : REQ 1, REQ 2 is in PSA - Full DTP wud get REQ 3 ( 1 + 2 ) into cube.

Now u have a new Req4 ( aft running a delta infopackage )in the PSA & u run a delta DTP it wud only get REQ 4 into the cube.

Hi PVC,

Delta DTP will load delta requests from PSA. For ex, you have run the infopackage and you have one request in PSA. Then when you run Delta DTP, that request wil get loaded into the data target. Lets say you have run the infopackage once more, now you have 2 reqs in your PSA (new and previous one). Now if you run Delta DTP, it will load only the latest PSA request. If it were to be Full DTP, it would've loaded both PSA reqs.

BI 7.0 Business content reflects BI 7.0 Data flow. It shows DTP, Transformations and all .

There is no change of LO extraction in BI 7.0 compared to BW 3.5
