Workflow query

Hello All

I am trying to see the container of a processed workflow to see what actual data values were used by a rule in a function module?

Where can i see the information pertaining to that ?

Do I have to look into a particular table ? Or Do I have to call a function module after running a workflow ?

I am also trying to see where I can see a log of all workflows that have been run without errors. Does anyone know the transaction fot hat ?

I went to the TC - SWI1 and was able to have a look at the container and also values. We are using a customised version of feature PINCH for storing the administrator data. Based on input fields of MOLGA and WERKS, the workflow is supposed to revert the approval to the appropriate administrator.

I cannot locate the WERKS anywhere within in the container. I really do not seem to understand some of the terminology when i am looking at the container occupant details. Does anyone have any docs related to that ?

We are calling a Function module which is based on a rule, this function module is working fine, but something in the way the workflow has been made is not allowing the correct approval messages to be sent to the right people as per the PINCH feature.

    Any tips anyone.

    • FYI it is not appreciated if documentation is sent to e-mail addresses. That is not the purpose of this forum.

With regards to your question, the consultant who creates the workflow can give his own terminology to container elements, so the item you are looking for can be called something completely different than WERKS. Check the configuration of that workflow. When you are in the logging check the container of the top most item, this will contain an entry called WORKITEM. Open this and you will find a field called DefGuid. The value will start with WS and a number (8 long). Note this number. Go to PFTCDIS. As tasktype select Workflowmodel, enter the number you just got and press display. Press the workflow builder button. This will take you to the workflow configuration. In the left bottom of the screen you can see the container, in here you can find the element which stores the WERKS field. Then you know where to look in the container in the logging.

To start with use Tcode <u><b>SWI1</b></u> to list all the work items or w/flow logs triggered through w/flow. Double click on the w/item, to show the workflow log. The screen shows diff tabs like details, step history... container. Click on container to see the container items.

For other transactions do a search with SW* in SE93 tcode.

If this helps pl add score.
