SAP Product

Hello Guys...

I am in transaction COMMPRO1 and trying to create a Product.

when I selected the category I selected and pressed continue it says "A product with the ID already exists"

I performed the step " IMG > CROSS APPLICATION COMPONENTS > SAP PRODUCTS > SETTINGS FOR PRODUCT TYPE > DEFINE NUMBER RANGES FOR MATERIALS"

But still it says Product with the ID allready exists.

Message No is COM_PRODUCT001

Thanks in advance !! Please help me.. i m with this problem sinse a week.

Guys, considering the fact that I could not get an answer fro my question sinse 10 days, I would like to give it up.

But Please let me know what are the steps that you perform when you use CRM as stand alone system in order to create a Product in CRM 5.0? Please!!

Hi

latha you are not mentioned where trying to use that TC COMMProd1 use that in crm easy access go to Master data Products, Main tain Products

go to products menu create a New Product, this is the solution

Hi Latha,

First thing is that when you are creating a product you are using an external number ? if yes there could be product with the same no or name already present in the system. So please check in the tr. COMMPR01 whether that product is there or not. if yes then try using some other product no/name.

To avoid such scenarios you can also have a number range as internal number assignment in that case system will generate the product number.

No Guyss There is no product with that name...and number range is allready internel....

Hi Latha,

Check if the product with same id or name is already exists in the Database
