SAP Product

Hello Guys...

I am in transaction COMMPRO1 and trying to create a Product.

when I selected the category I selected and pressed continue it says "A product with the ID already exists"

I performed the step " IMG > CROSS APPLICATION COMPONENTS > SAP PRODUCTS > SETTINGS FOR PRODUCT TYPE > DEFINE NUMBER RANGES FOR MATERIALS"

But still it says Product with the ID allready exists.

Message No is COM_PRODUCT001

Thanks in advance !! Please help me.. i m with this problem sinse a week.
