data maintain in alv

in a general alv report how can we maintain data (display,change,etc) on the report itself.is there any function module.

There are not function modules which do it by default.

You will have to change the properties of the fields in the fieldcatalog to turn on the input.

Since it is general alv list, the data changed shall automatically be populated in the internal table.

I suggest you familiarise yourself with the reports that have names like BCALVEDIT as these give demos of using ALV for data entry / validation etc.

can't we build a catalog , layout etc etc dynamically...........If we can, then the answer is yes
