Hello
I realised SAP now offers SAP Cloud Platform Free Edition which in the official pricing documentation is free with a 10GB HANA database service along with a 120 GB ASE.
I thought I should give it a try to see how it looks like but it seems I could not figure out how to create a HANA DB system. On trial accounts, when creating a new DB, the dropdown option gives the option for HANA <shared> and HANA MDC <shared>. although these would not be visible in Database Systems page possibly because they are shared.
The SAP HANA service is enabled on the account and I could not find a way creating the HANA instance.
Any ideas?
Kind Regards
Serdar
Hello Serdar,
It seems that the pricing PDF is out of date because in the SAP Store, you find the information, that the SAP Cloud Platform, user-based packages Free edition does only contain a 120 MB ASE database.
Best regards

Hi Frank
Thanks for your response and for the link which makes it clear.
It looks like a copy-paste mistake in the pricing document as previously the equivalent HCP Free Edition also had only a 120 MB ASE with no SAP HANA.
I was surprised to see the SCP Free Edition now including SAP HANA which unfortunately is not the case.
Kind Regards
Serdar
