Pre-codification process in SAP

Hi Team,

Scenario:

We are MTO based planning and planning is based on orders .In many cases, we need to create new codes which is based on customer requirement and to create code it may take 15-20 days (to complete the study of packaging , glassware ect) code will be activated in system only when the full study is done .

To create codes , sales will share the details of the product to new development depart which we called and file launch and in this file sales team will explain the items required, packaging type ,requirement date etc..

Is this function available in SAP ?
