EH&S Help (Transaction CG33)

Hi All,

I found one transaction CG33 to with discription Import specifications. Just want to know if any one has used it and if yes what should be the format of file and where I can get more information on this.

Our requirement is to migrate all the specification data from one R/3 system to other R/3 system.

Hi Paul,

Thanks a lot. as you stated, our requirement is to extend the SAP 4.7 system with the same EH&S processes and master data from the SAP 4.6 system.

Please share if you have some more information in this regard.

Please note: We are only using Product Safety module of EHS.

Hi,

If you customize the new system the same way, it could be done relatively simple. What you have to do is to extract all relevant master data from the source system (see my previous message). These files are already formatted in the correct way. Make the necessary changes direcly in the file and import the file in the new system. You have to take care that everything is exported/imported in the right order.

I used this method in the past and it worked very well.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your help. As narrated in my last queries, we have to separate R/3 instances. One is R/3 4.6 version with EH&S on it and the other is 4.7 with all other Enterprise activities.

Now we are considering to merge EH&S in 4.7 system. For the same we are considering different methods to transfer the data like Specifications, phrases etc.

Please let me know if you have any idea in this regard.

Hi Vithalprasad,

Do you want to extend the SAP 4.7 system with the same EH&S processes and master data from the SAP 4.6 system?

You can export all EHS&S master data in the proper format. These export files can be used for import the master data in a different system.Probably you only have to do some light modifications.

TIP: you can create an export file from the original SAP source and use this as a basis for creating the new import file
