read pp master data

Is there any way to fix a material not to change in a production order before reading pp master data.

Dear Prasobh,

First, I want to add a material into a production order which is not in the BOM, and then when i read the master data of this production order for the BOM explosion, i don' t want to this added material to be changed or deleted.

The std SAP functionality usually deletes the additional item if you do a Read PP master data after adding the item. I do not think this is possible with existing features in SAP.

It is not possible to restrict deletion of manually added components during Read PP Master data.
