Hi, I have 2 SAP servers ECC 6.0 SR2 (Abap+Java), the servers have same OS, Database version and SP level. I want know if I can make a client copy or I must reinstall and make a system copy.
One of these servers will be productive, but servers are in differents countries, I have a Internet connection between them. I need copy my dev client to productive client.
What is the best way for that? ....
I have read than client copy or export client I can do it if system have the same SP version.
When do I must use system copy? and what is the standard procedure for copy from developemt or QA to PRD, with the attention of a LAN or WAN link ??
Thanks...
Regards.
Hi Jose,
If you want to have 2 nd server as a replica of 1 st server like usually we do have Quality server replica of PRD in terms of data version then you must go for System Copy.
If you only want a copy of one of the clients of 1st server in one of the clients in 2nd server then Go for Remote client copy/ Export import option as suggested by Payal.
Hope this is useful

Umesh

Hi, I am doing a remote client copy to copy my develepment client to production client, however , when I ran copy with scc9 transaction, it showme an error, because DDIC is not the same in both clients, that is because I had some Z programs in development client. Servers have same SP and versions (SAP ECC 6.0 SR2).
What can I do for copy my client from dev to production? , Whas is the best choice ....?
Thanks.
Hi,
If these 2 servers is going to be the Development and Production server. then you are going to configure STMS between bothe systems.
Then you should go for remote client copy or client export/import.
SCC9 is for Remote client copy.
and for client export/import, Please refer the following link:
You must have both your servers connected with LAN or WAN.

Payal
