    the number infoobjects

    10 fields a 10 chars

changeable unlilmited number of info object

    navigational attributes

    only on global basis

    in 7.0 it is individually

    hierarchy authorizations

    via GUID and 0TCTAUTHH

in this it ss equivalent to value authoriations

    composition of autorizations

only intersection of auth object AND info cube

in 7 it si union ( , as expexcted')

    authorization relevance

    per infoobjects settings

Central maintenancefor (analysis) authorizations /transaction RSECADMIN

Navigational AttributesCan be assigned individuallyThe referencing characteristic( ) needsnot be authorization-relevant

On the same level like the value authorization, you can also grant authorizations on hierarchy levels.Assume you’ll have a sales organization as depicted.

You can also use variables for flexibly and dynamically determine hierarchy nodes.

Type of AuthorizationOnly the Selected NodesSubtreeBelow NodesSubtreeBelow Nodes to Level (Incl.)Complete HierarchySubtreeBelow Nodes to (and Incl.) Level (Relative

Use case: hierarchies that happen to be restructured regularly.
