Hi Balaji,

To start sap you just type startsap on the command prompt... are you getting any specific errors?

Hi Balaji,

If you have several system... just logon as <sid>adm of the system you want to start and type startsap

Also if you have several instances for a system you can specify the instance by using startsap <instanceID> sample... startsap DVEBMGS00

Remember to type an 'alias' before you startsap to see if there are any aliases defined in your AIX, especially in an HACMP env. in HA systems the commands will be a little bit different though.
