Hi Mike,
Unfortunately, the output information is too generic to determine root cause.
What is your environment? PD version, OS, DBMS type that repository is installed on, direct connection or proxy connection, etc.…
What are some characteristics of the model included in the project?
If you have support with SAP, it may be quicker to open an incident and upload a copy of the project and model for analysis.
Regards,
Anthony
Are you able to check in the new model by itself, not part of the project? Use File | Save As New Model to create a version of the model, make sure it's not in the project directory, then check it in.
George, any thoughts on why that might be? FYI, I was able to check out a Repository Model, however once again I wasn't able to check it back in. Regarding Anthony Hill's Oct 3th response, does anyone have any knowledge of a log file that could potentially provide additional information? Thanks in advance.
the message "The file could not be opened for writing back the checked out model after check in...." implies that the model was actually checked in before, but couldn't be checked out again afterwards. You could try deleting the local file (after taking a copy) after checking it in, then checking it out manually, making sure you don't select the 'read only' check box.
Try these locations for log files.
Session Log
C:\Users\user name\AppData\Local\Temp\_PD_SessionLog.txt
Exception Logs
C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\PowerDesigner\16.6 - will be several files here
