Run Time Systems

Hi guys,

My project is trying to customize ESS/MSS using NWDI and we'r trying to define our development configurations. 1 of the things to define is the RTS. My understanding is that there are 4 run time systems namely - Dev, Consolidation, Test and Prod.

From the way I see it, the functions of the Dev and Test RTS work like UAT and ORT environments. Prod RTS is self-explanatory. Therefore, I understand their need to be included in our development config. Thus,

1. What then is the purpose of having a Consolidation RTS?

2. Can we exclude Consolidation RTS when defining our tracks and Devlopment configuration?

3. If so, what are the pros&cons of having a Consolidation Track?

Thanks guys in advance!
