HCM Processes and Forms - HR Admin Services - Define a new Generic Service

We have an OM Business Process (Create Position Requisition) that we intend to implement using HCM processes and Forms. Now unlike PA/TM, there is no standard Backend/Generic services available to support this business process?

We understand that the Form validations/Drop-downs can't be performed in absence of available service for OM functionality, and the backend will not be updated automatically as well. However, is it possible to create Process object, update the Form data in the Process object and read that data into workflow container without the use of any Service? Is the backend service required for the Workflow task to read the Process object (Form data is saved in the Process object) data into Workflow container?

Can Process object (Case Management) be created without the use of Generic Service? Has anyone created complete Generic Service that provides functinalities like Form validaions, input help, updating backend, etc.?

What is recommened for such business processes (no available backend/generic service), HCM Processes and Forms Framework or ISR Framework?

I will appreciate any ideas on what could be the best solution to implement this business process using Workflow.

I heard SAP is providing this with Enhancement Pack 4. They only have solutions available for processes centered around employee basically PA processes, but hope to see HCM P&F framework supporting OM processes soon.

Any answer/follow-up to this? We have implemented several "employee initiated" processes (termination, org/pay change, etc) but now, we are building out a "new position request" which first requests and OM change and THEN leads into a hiring process (external or internal). I know the "new position" process is not a new request for some standard/sample solution because people have been clamoring for it since the PCR days from MSS and always ended up having to make their own. Just curious as to why it still isn't around for HCM Processes and Forms as a sample (and possible further customer solution).
