Hi,
I am new to APO. I want a complete cycle of APO with T-Codes and brief explanations. I know about CIF ann BW part of APO. But tell me the sequence of steps and transactions.
We are creating logical systems and RFC settings in both R/3 and APO. We do create BSG in APO,but where we link the BSG and R/3. Is there any settings for that.
I have one more question. Should the Logical system names and RFC names be same in both R/3, APO.
Kindly clarify.
Thanks and regards

If you have multiple R/3 systems connected to same APO system, the BSG helps identifying master data. See this link under CIF.

You need to maintain the same logical system names and corresponding RFCs in R/3 and APO system. Also the RFC user needs to be created in both system. Please see this link.

Hi Somnath,
Thank you very much for your reply. Based on your answer I have the following questions.
1.You are telling that we have to give same name for Logical system and RFC settings in APO and R/3. In case of one BSG having two R/3 systems how can we give same name for logical system and RFC for the two R/3 systems. How the APO system will distinguish difference between the two R/3 systems.
2.Where we assign the R/3 systems to BSG.
Thanks and regards

Let me explain with a scenario.
You have two R/3 systems say R3ACLNT100 and R3BCLNT100 as the logical systems and according RFC destinations maintained in you APO system.
You create two BSGs say BSGA and BSGB.
Then goto SPRO >> Integration with SAP Components >> Integration of SAP SCM and SAP R/3 >> Basic Settings for Creating System Landscape >> Assign Logical System and Queue Type.
There you maintain two entries like below
BusSysGrp Logical System R/3 Flag .....
BSGA R3ACLNT100 X
BSGB R3BCLNT100 X
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Somnath
