how to send emails in Solution Manager with System Monitoring

Hi there

I've managed to set-up the early-watch alerts, and service level reports, and both of them send an email to my email address as soon as it is done, but what i can't seem to figure out is how to configure Solution monitoring -> System Monitoring to send an email as soon as a alert happens (i.e a red alert for disk space) to notify me of this alert.

I would like it to to be able to send an email as soon as a red-event happens, without having to be in solution manager?

Is this possible and how?

Hi there

Thanks for the response, the note you provide does help a bit, but it is not entirely what im trying to do.

I've done most of those things provided in the note, as i said, the email is working 100% and sending me Earlywatch and Service level reports, what i want is for it to send me System Monitoring alerts as they happen, i've searched around a bit more and found the following (for anyone interested)

But this still leaves me with the questions:

1.Do i need to configure the CCMS_OnAlert_Email, for every alert that you have, in the satellite system?

2. How do i configure this out of solution manager, and bypassing the satellite system?

Best thing I would say is to copy method ( RZ21 --> Method --> Method definition )CCMS_OnAlert_Email to Z_CCMS_OnAlert_Email in Solman and assign this auto reaction to MTE class of satellite systems.

You have to install/configure sapccm4x( for monitoring abap ) on satellite systems by giving details about Solution manager. Then the alert will be sent to Solution manager from satellite system and the configured auto reaction will send mails .

You need to configure your entire CCMS Infrastructure.

To ease a lot of confusion make sure your are using the correct CCMS Agent to push information to your Central System - Which in most cases is your Solution Manager.

Use SAPCCMSR -J2EE if you have an double-stack ABAP&JAVA System

Use SAPCCM4x if you have an ABAP Only

Use SAPCCMSR if it is a non-sap system.

Once you have all remote system entered you can create Auto-Reaction methods to your MTE's in RZ21.

It's not working 100% yet, but all this info is enough to get it to work, the only thing left that i must now do is configure the CCMS agents in remote systems, thanks for all the help, appreciate it.
