Hi,
Question:1
-
I am planning to upgrade kernel for SAP 4.6D. When checked in SAP service market place, there are two options:
SAP KERNEL 4.6D 64-BIT
SAP KERNEL 4.6D_EXT 64-BIT
How to confirm my system is 4.6D or 4.6D_EXT ? My disp+work -v shows following output:
~
kernel release 46D
kernel make variant 46D
DBMS client library OCI_816_64
DBSL shared library version 46D.00
compiled on SunOS 5.7 Generic_106541-05 sun4u
compiled for 64 BIT
compile time Jun 1 2004 21:08:58
update level 0
patch number 1848
source id 0.1848
~
Kernel Release it shows 46D, does it mean I have to go for 46D and not the 46d_EXT ?

I have one HP-UX system for which need to upgrade the kernel and the release is 6.40. When I checked the uname command at os level the out put is :
uname -rsv

this HP-UX version is HP-UX on IA64 64bit or HP-UX on PA-RISC 64bit ? How to know it is IA64 or PA-RSIC ?
Thanks
