Client copy Only data

Hi,

We have a copy of production client in Quality system.

This client copy was done few months back, can we update the client in quality with the data which was updated in production after the client copy.

Or will I have to do entire client copy again.

How much data will be copied in this is there any way to find.

I am not able th schedule the program as background as it asks for a variant what is the variant we need to specify. Also we get an option to create a variant please help what needs to be done.

Parvez,

Goto SE38 and enter RSTABLESIZE then execute, there you select client XXX and select tables * then save it it will ask for variant. Give a variant name like var1, and description. agin save it.

Go to SM36 and create a new job(with some name) and select RSTABLESIZE in the next tabs select variant as var1. If you select new job to start immediately it will start immediately, you can check in SM37, after completion goto the corresponding spool request and in which you will find the size.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have followed the steps you mentioned. However at the end when i checked the spool request in the Ouput Controller it mentions list contains no data. Can u please guide me further.

It seem's you didn't select * in tables field, check the program and run it again.

Juvan is right you need to do a complete copy. You can find the size fromproduction what is the current size of the client is?.

Can u please tell me how do I get the Size of Client form production. Are there some specific folders that get copied, the size of which can be calulated.

Hi Parvez,

You can run program RSTABLESIZE as background job, after finished, see the job output to know your client size (tables in a client).
