Error - SAP 2004 ABAP installation - MaxDB sbdinst error

Hi all,

During installation of SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP Trial Version, The system runs till 40% , till creation of Database NSP and the following error log is created.

(Sep 13, 2007 2:22:43 PM), Install, com.sap.installshield.maxdb.maxdb_call_sdbinst, err, An error occurred and product installation failed. Look at the log file C:\sapdb\NSP\log.txt for details.

(Sep 13, 2007 2:22:43 PM), Install, com.sap.installshield.maxdb.maxdb_call_sdbinst, err, ProductException: (error code = 601; message="An Error happened during call of MaxDB Tool sdbinst. Check end of Logfile D:/DOCUME_{1/muadmin/LOCALS}1/Temp/MaxDBSAPNWPREV.log")

STACK_TRACE: 22

My C: consists of 24.7GB free space

Where do you think I am going wrong?

Hi,

I suspect you need more disk space. Try freeing up at least 30 GB.

Guys, Got own solution.

1. Renamed PC to 8 characters(One of my friends suggestion).

2.Dumped the installation files in C:\

2 Changed installation drive to D:\SAP(Earlier it was C:\SAP)

and Boom...it installed perfectly
