Hi Pranav

FAGLFLEXP is for storing planned line items in New GL.

The Tcode for GL Planning is GP12n.

Have you configured new GL Planning?

You would use t codes like GP12N

if not you wont get any values in FAGLFLEXP.

Hi Pranav,

We want to deactivate New GL Accounting in our system. Hence would like to request you to please provide us the information / precaution we need to take before steping for the deactivation.

We have activated New GL Accounting 1 week ago, hence if we have now deactivated the same what will be the impact of that, on the data that End users have entered within a week.

Pls. share the knowledge if you have with you as we are in urgent requirement. We are looking positivly towards you as it is look like that you could had faced the same problem in the past.

Hi

You are inviting trouble in deactivating New GL. This you should have thought before migrating to New GL.

But SAP would soon be stopping supporting Old GL, you have no choice but to move to New GL very soon.

There are lot of tables created in the back end, where the updation of data takes place.

You better contact SAP for advise, which would be the best option.

SAP have not said they wont support the old GL, classic view.

How many enhancements have they made to the old GL in the last 8 years?

None apart from the SAP enjoy screens that came to the rest of ERP.

Users and clients should not panic into moving to the new GL, there are clear benefits in using the new GL and if you recognise them as benefical to your organisation then you should look at moving to the new GL.

Mark, when i try to use GP12N, I get the below message:

Planner profile SAPFAGL contains no tasks for table V_GLFLEXT

Message no. GLPL460

Diagnosis

You are using planner profile SAPFAGL. This profile contains no plan tasks for summary table V_GLFLEXT.

System Response

Planning is not called up.

Procedure

Enter a plan task for profile SAPFAGL and for summary table V_GLFLEXT. You can do this with the transaction Maintain profiles. If you want to plan a different summary table, you can do so with the transaction Set table as standard summary table.

I suspect that I do not know how to activate my FAGLFLEXP.....Please provide me a step by step on how to activate planning in New GL. Thanks.
