Hi, My mail team have asked me to send my ECC outgoing mail to their new mail server via TLS encryption.
They gave me a hostname and port, I used telnet and I see it and connect.
I meet all SAP minimum requirements in note 1702632.
I have NW 731 and kernel 7.21 ext
I installed the latest CommonCryptolib 8.5.4 and as per note 510007 I should have support for all TLS versions.
I don't think this is rocket science when configuring only outgoing mail, but I followed all the settings, used the user/pass they provided and port and I cannot make a connection.
error in SOST is MSG 751 Message cannot be currently transferred to node
Also I can see info from Node; 451 Error starting TLS.
So im trying to determine if I need additional settings? Profile parameters maybe?
Any ideas? Tips
also, I think I forgot to define the HTTPS port in the instance profile also!, after defining it, boom I was in.

Yes, the password they gave me was over 20 characters! The password field in scot only allows up to 20, I had to modify the object to allow 40 characters.

Dear Joshua,
did you solved the issue? We get the same response code from our NW731 system. We are using TLS-SMTP on our NW740 Systems without error.
Thanks and best regards
Jens
