Set alerts for expiring quotations management level wise.

Hi, Just would like to give you a brief about our organization (out of SAP) and the Issue.

Facts about our organization

1. We have 7 product lines.

2. 9 sales offices all over India

3. Hierarchy - Sales Executives -> Regional Manager -> Product Head ->Head India Operation

Issue :

1. I want the quotation expiry alerts for the month.

2. If expiring quotation amt is below 10,000 Rs, should give alert to only sales executive.

3. If expiring quotation amt is bet 10,000 – 1,00,000 is should give alert to region al manager as well sales executive sales executive.

4. If expiring quotation amt is bet 1,00,000 – 10,00,000 is should give alert to region head as well Regional Manager & sales executive.

And so on….

hi

consult ur basis adminstrator and give him ur requirement, he will then assign the user role and screen level permissions.. and also consult ur abaper in this regards.. in case if queries have to be maintained,..

However, i was been told that i will have to use workflow to solve this issue.Correct me if am wrong....

see SAP provides flexibility you need to see which suits the best i agree for your requirement Work flow is more powerful because SAP workflow maps the position in organization because SAP believes that Positions are more stable than the people.

PLus the advantage here is since there is Event triggering Workflows are more handy in such situations

Also i agree to Narens Point you can control through Roles & Profiles with the help of a basis admin but you cant trigger any event with that i mean e mail trigger or something like that , you can just provide restrictions.

Was woundering if any one of you had a chance to configure the workflow.Realtime workflow config doc will be really helpfull, as I have never configured workflow..

Bhushan,

U can do it with BASIS help...They will maintain the same in Authorisation Profile.

This is quiate easier method than workflow...
