Transportation of Access privileges in HANA

Have created a role in HANA DEV BW tenant and now want to transport to UAT BW tenant. We are relatively new to HANA and cannot find much help on how to initiate the transport here. Any documentation or support is much appreciated.

Hi Satya,

You can either connect your Hana tenant to Solution Manager. Hana transport can then be done through SAP transport order.

Or you can use the Hana transport object : the delivery unit.

We are trying through delivery unit but we are not sure on how to add roles to that. Can you please provide any guide here if possible.

You have to create your roles through the development perspective to be able to include them in a delivery unit.

By the way, my first answer was misleading, with or without SolMan, you have to use the delivery unit. Solman will just bring the transport order functionality at the Hana level.
