Seasaon Category Indicator in Master Data

Can anyone give me some more Information on season Category Indicator in Retail Master data. I am also Specifically looking for the use of season Indicators for Markdown Planning?

Hi,

Pl refer the following:

Check Table for Season Indicators

Information on seasons is stored as master data and is valid independent of the year. The master data contains information on the validity period of the season (from and to a particular month and day). The season can only be used once a year (annual season). Merchandise is assigned to an annual season.

The following entries are available as standard:

• 0001 Spring/summer

• 0002 Autumn/winter

• 0003 1st quarter

• 0004 2nd quarter

• 0005 3rd quarter

• 0006 4th quarter

Activities

Maintain season indicators.

Further notes

One-off periods that do not occur annually should not be planned as seasons, but instead should be planned as promotions.
