Extending "Country" search criteria to Opportunity OWL

Hi All,

The Lead OWL in C4C currently has the address fields from the Prospect Party, that allow this to be searched using COUNTRY as a filter.

There is a submission in the idea place already, but due to the urgency of the requirement, we want to expose the COUNTRY field in Opportunities OWL as well.

I created an extension field

Added it to the OWL

Can see the list of entries in the dropdown

However the Opportunity search of course, doesn't return the results when you click GO.

Since the binding cannot be changed via EXTENSIBILITY EXPLORER and the OWL comes from a lower layer, how do we go about executing this?

    Hi Ashwin,

    I hope you are working C4C and you would have checked appropriate query services in the process extension scenario. If not, refer the below link.

    If you plan to go for KUT extension field, in any case, you can refer the below link

    Thanks Senthil for the response. I have already added the field via the UI designer. Not referred to this blog earlier, but thanks for sharing.

    However, the problem here is that the element if defined like this below...

    element OppCountry : CountryCode;

    while it populates the entries in the dropdown, it doesn't do so based on the account, similar to how it works for Leads search.

    In the leads search, when you select the country and execute, it populates the results, based on that filter.
