Batch Determination

Hi Gurus,

When my selection criteria for BD is by Date, I am getting following errors in BD,

1. Even when the stock of particular batch is zero, system is picking up that batch no. in BD which I don't want.

2. Under batch selection for the available quantity, I am not getting the exact batch quatity instead maximum quantity of "9 999 999 999.000".

Pls tell me the solution.

Have you did all the settings in SPRO

logistics general>bat management> batch determination...

then settings for Prod order

Logistics>production>production order>good movement>COB1?

HI,

I am getting a log as "strategy contains no selection specifications" even after maintaining the condition record, in addition pls help me in explaining

1. why system is also picking the batch which is having zero quantity.

2.for other picked batches, instead of showing exact quantity system is showing "9 999 999 999.000" as batch quantity.

To get the correct quantity instead of 9999999, please insert a availibility check in material master.

MM02

-> tab MRP3

-> field Availibility check

If you see 9999999 this field is empty or set to KP for no check.

I used CH in my availability Check---MRP3 view,

If it possible pls tell me, what "CH" is doing when "02" can't and the configuration part.

POINTS already GIVEN.

Dear Sekhar,

sorry I can help with Batch Determination at all but not with ATP settings. I cannot tell you the difference in settings.

Check and compare the customizing of CH and 02....

see the settings for CH and 02 in SPRO- in transaction # OVZ2

Cheking group itself will not result in any avaialability check, but with the combination of checking rule will result in avaiability check elements

checking group is maintained in masterial master.(o1,01, ch)

Checking rule is maintained for a transaction i.e. for sales order it is A, for production order PP

combination of A with CH, 02 or 01 will result in different elements to be considered.-see the transaction # OPJJ

With CH as in your case it will considered the check w.r.t. batch level
