ABAP Priting Problem (Points will be rewarded)

Dear Guys

I have a report taking too much time to run thats why I am executing it in background mode. Secondly report has too much columns that is almost 320 due to which printing of report is not possible.

I want to downlaod the report in Excel Sheet in Background but I think its not possible to downlaod the data in background mode.

Is there any way to downlaod the report while it is executing in background doesnt matter if the report download the data on server instead of user PC.
