I want to use a material in a plant as a raw material and the same material as a semi-finished goods in another plant.
Is is possible with same material no ?

Material type, you are defining at clent level.
you can not use like that as long as the material code is same.

Same material no will used in both the plants. Plant 1 use this material as rawmaterial and Plant2 will use this as semifinished material.
Is it possible to define material type in which the above scenario gets satisfied.

you are producing a material as semi finished in Plant2.
This material will be used as a component in a BOM of a product in plant1.
You can very well use material type as semi finished material in both the plants, provided my above assumption is correct.
In fact I came accross in many situations like this earlier.
I have used same as above.

You can create the Same material part no in 2 different plants,but only with same
material type,the system will not allow to create with different material type.
