Dear all,
I've been working in Informatica for quite sometime. I now want to get into SAP MDM. I have now a clear idea of what MDM is as a concept. Even my ETL/Data warehouse knowledge aids in picking up MDM quickly. Please let me know if this move is wise.
Secondly, does any one have any idea where I can get trained in SAP MDM in UK or Europe other than SAP Education? If so, please let me know.
Cheers

Hi,
>>>>Even my ETL/Data warehouse knowledge aids in picking up MDM quickly
MDM is not a data warehouse - it's a master data storage
BW (sap's data warehouse) is a separate component
for MDM you'd need some module knowledge (master data, hierarchies etc)
and integration (to connect r3 with MDM)

there are many consulting companies that do MDM tranings in europe
but why would you want to do that? with SAP you can check your trainer's experience before attending and decide on this basis

Thank you very much Michal for the reply.
Regarding moving to SAP MDM, does that mean you would second my decision if I can get some module knowledge on Master Data and integrations with R/3?
For the second question, I am mainly concerned about the fee SAP charges for this. So am looking for any non-SAP institute so it can have some cost advantage. If you feel otherwise, please justify the SAP advantage.
Cheers
