Hi,
I have an Infocube query of Accounts Receivable that has a characteristic
variable and based on the value entered by the user, it displays the resultset.
But now I have a requirement where the user wants to see the Detail report
of Accounts Receivable which is based on ODS.
So,when the User calls the ODS report from the Cube query it should display
the result set of only that customer and not the whole data.
One Solution is that I also create the Characteristic Variable on the ODS query
and prompt the User to enter the Customer Code.
but Can I automate this process as the variable value of the Cube query
can process the query of ODS.
Can it be done through Replacement Path.
Can anyone please suggest.
Ashish
hai ashish,
if u use RRI then its posible...
use that tcode...
"RSBBS Report to report interface"
give ur info cube query name..
after that select ur ods query name..
if u give a customer id then that customer cube query will execute..
right click the customer ...
there u select the ods query..
now u got the only that perticular customer detail ods report..
thankz and regards,
prakasu

Hi Ashish,
if u want to give the users a new report in place of the old report and u dont want the old report on the cube anymore, than u can use the same variable(based on customer characteristic) for the new query also.
Create a new query on the ODS and restrict the customer object using the same variable that u used in the cube query.
As i understand, you dont want to create a new variable again, right?
hope this helps..
