Setup a security on Universe views

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement like below. Please help me if it possible in BO 4.1 or not.

We have a new feature called views in 4.1 Universe so now we have a requirement like we have multiple departments Sales and orders but business wants us to create a multiple view in same universe by naming Sales view for sales and Orders View for orders and same way we need to create a folders(Classes and objects) in Business layer as well. Now we need to setup a security like sales member can see sales view and their respective objects and orders member can see order view and their respective object when they login to IDT to do the modification on universe.

Is it possible to achieve this requirement?

Note: We have multiple departments which has lot of customers so based on business decision we are giving Universe access few of them in each department so that they can do the universe modification when they got the request from customer but all view should be on same universe.

You may need to make use of Data foundation views and Business Layer views along with Security Profiles. Take a look here to understand more about these. ( Securing Universes section)

Mani- Does this Linked universe feature is available in BI4.1.?

I wont recommend to go for a single universe to be shared across multiple developer groups as you may end up with universe being corrupt as a result all your operational reports.

Instead you go can try with Linked universe with all the common objects in a Master universe and other department specific objects in universes for each department. refer here to get more idea. http://www.bidw.org/business-objects/universe-design/linking-universe-in-universe-designer/

I have seen this earlier before posting this question so just need to know is it possible to setup a security(Either in Universe or CMC) fo data foundation views for universe developer group? If Yes,Please share the steps.
