New Unit of Measure - Board Foot

I am looking for some assistance on setting up a new unit of measure for board foot. I am aware that this can be done through the tcode CUNI but am looking for some help on the config / setup of this new unit of measure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I usually start with wikipedia as it has usually all information that is needed, among many other information you also get the SI unit and the conversion rate between board foot and its SI unit.

The important step in SAP is then to find the right dimension, I use SE16N on table T006 and search for the unit which was mentioned as SI unit in Wikipedia.

Then you create your new unit under this dimension. While start doing this in CUNI you get to see all other units in that dimension.

Go to the detail of one or more and see how they are setup, find for those units the information in Wikipedia, try to match this information with values that you see in SAP and finally maintain your new unit by following the examples.
