can anybody give some idea on implementing a corporate wide Overhead allocation strategy. and to create overhead .
Hi,
It depends on how the overhead allocation is planned. You can use costing sheet to allocate overhead either quantity based or percentage based. In costing sheet you will define the base (cost elements), perecntgae ( % on the base elements) and credit (cost centers to be credited).
Ex; If you have 10 accounts whihc will inccur costs and you want to take 2% as overhead then you will define your 10 accounts as base, 2% as percent and credit the cost center which ever you want to post the costs.
