automatic prepaid amortization

Is there a type of requisition or purchase order for prepaid expense? I would like to have a process where if a requisition is done for a subscription renewal or maintenance renewal, the start date and end date can be entered in the requisition and then SAP would automatically record this in a prepaid account and automatically post the amortization every month.

Hi, thank you very much for the links. Unfortunately I'm not much of a SAP guru. Before I dig too much into the above links I just want to ensure they hold a solution.

Currently I send a spreadsheet to corporate accounting of all subscription renewal and software maintenance paid in the month (around 2000 individual transaction per year, all with different contract terms), with start date and end date for each transaction. Corporate accounting then uses the spreadsheet to credit these expense and debit the prepaid account. They then amortize based on the updated prepaid master spreadsheet. I'm wondering if there is a way to automize right at the inception of each of these contracts. For exemple if there was a special type of requisition/PO that would include start and end date field, then as soon as the invoice related to this PO is paid, it debits the prepaid account and posts monthly amortization accrual automatically.

If you are sure of the exact dates, you have at least the below options:

1. create a recurring entry through FBDI and schedule posting runs through F.14

2. Other option is to use accrual engine functionality as well. There are lot of discussion threads on the same. One of them is listed below:
